Sprinkler
Daddy Says:
Head to Head.
Why
Your Sprinkler Design Uses Head to Head Coverage - And What Head to Head
Coverage Is
Head to head coverage is the manufacturers
recommended way to design a sprinkler system. In a nutshell, this
means that you'll get as close to equal coverage as possible. When
you've got equal water coverage, you'll use a lot less water and your
sprinklers will be on for shorter periods of time because you don't need
to over water in some areas just to get the bare minimum in others.
Another thing to keep in mind is that a sprinkler
can only spray as far as the shortest distance it needs to cover.
So if you have a 10' x 40' strip of grass, each sprinkler can only spray
a maximum of 10'. If you don't stick to these guidelines, you'll
end up wasting money spraying your fence, house, garage, or the street
when you don't need to.
